WHAT are plasma indicator tags?


Plasma indicator tags are specially coated foils that are laid in the plasma chamber or are affixed to the parts that are to be treated as a reference for the materials that are to be treated.

WHAT are they used for?

For process control in the following plasma processes: - cleaning - activating - etching.

WHY are they necessary?

Because there is hardly a simpler method to monitor the process. The tag provides an overview of the treated and untreated batches, especially for high output and shift-work. One look at the tag is enough to recognize the status of the material (treated or untreated).

HOW do they work?

The coated foil on the tag signals a dark (brown) indicator point that disappears after a completed plasma process. If no indicator point can be seen, the cleaning / activating / cauterizing has been completed successfully.
